another choo-tastic birthdaycake-Traincake for Max

I never met a child who is so into trains like our little friend MAX. It is always such a joy to watch him when he is playing with his in choo choo trains.
So of course for Max's 3rd Birthday we just had to do a train themed cake.

Cake Pops- cake on a stick ...YUM !

It took me a while to make my first cake pops... no idea why.
We needed something as a little give away for a vendor fair Nadine was participating.
So the idea of the cake pops came up.
We matched the design and colours to her business colours and it was a huge success.

Since then my most popular party favors are cake pops.
The kids love them and the adults do too.
Perfect for kids parties, no mess or anything.
And they can be so elegant as give aways.
Those little cakes on sticks are just perfect for everything.

My favorite flavors so far :
chocolate cake with chocolate icing, chocolate cake with cheesecream icing, carrot cake with cheesecream icing.

25th Anniversary Cake

Surprise surprise !
It actually was a big 25th anniversary surprise party for Bob and Alice .
They did not expect a room, set up with food, drinks and their closest friends and family in it.
My gift to this wonderful couple..what would it have been ? THE CAKE !

We matched the colours of the cake to all the decoration details.
The first tier was a yellow cake with almond buttercream and the second tier chocolate cake with chocolate cheese cream frosting.

To make sure that everybody liked the flavor and style of the cake, i made a test cake for our Moms group.
Same creation just different colours.

Super Bowl and Basketball Cake

I am still in NBA Finals fever ( very happy for Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks),
so today here are my sports cakes.
The Superbowl Packers cake was made for the Superbowl Party hosted by Nadine and Nathan.
Huge Packers Fans and i am so glad they liked the cake.
I myself turned into a little Packers Fan creating this cake ;-)

The basketball cake was for my friends Anna's brother in law 29 th's birthday who is a big basketball fan.

Eric's first birthday-cake smash photoshoot

So you might have noticed that a lot of my cake pictures are taken by my wonderful friend Nadine
of  Fotos by Nadine .
For Eric's 1st birthday cakesmash photoshoot we teamed up.
I made the cake and Nadine captured the funny, beautiful moments of Eric smashing his cake.
What fun pictures !
I enjoyed working with Nadine and Eric's Mommy so much!

Meeska, Mooska, Mickey Mouse ! - Minnie and Mickey Clubhouse Cake

Mickey Mouse seems to play a huge role in our kids life's.
So be it ! Minnie and Mickey Birthday Party, here we come !
Sadie's 2nd birthday cake was a Minnie themed cake and Sophie's 3rd birthday cake
a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse cake.
Both cakes made the kids "awwwww" and "woooooooow" during their parties.
I am so happy i could make them smile so much with these cakes.

As 2 of our little friends have allergies, some vegan cake was part of both creations .
1st and 2nd tier of the Minnie cake are golden and marble cake with almond buttercream, 3rd tier is vegan cake.
The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse cake bottom tier is yellow cake with almond buttercream, second tier is chocolate cake with swiss strawberry meringue filling. YUM !
We made some additional vegan cupcakes.

FUN FUN birthday cakes - Supermario and Princess Cake

So what could be more fun than making birthday cakes for the little ones.
Charlie's 1st birthday cake was a Supermario themed cake.
I almost had forgotten about one of our childhood "heroes" and to be honest  i had to spend some time in the web to find ideas creating this cake. It turned out great .
And one more birthday cake for Miss Maja, a princess cake for a supercute girl, a little princess herself.
Both cake are yellow cakes with almond buttercream and covered in fondant.

Thanks Jessi and Nicola for letting me be a part of your childs birthday, i had a blast creating these cakes.
